At its February 12 meeting, the Sweden Town Board approved its amended Solar Energy Systems and Solar Energy Farms Code. A subcommittee had been working on modifications to the original law passed in September 2017. The changes were minor in nature.

The Board authorized a bid package for improvements at the Town Park – a family play area – linking the new accessible playground and new splash pad with a concrete pad, pavilion and shade structure. The bids are due March 5. Also at the park, the Board awarded a contract for the replacement of the Nietopski Field wooden fence. The contract was awarded to Stable Fences and Vineyards of Spencerport.

Finally, the Town Board authorized spring clean-up dates of April 29 – May 3. The rules for the clean-up will remain the same as last year. More information will be available on the Town website and in the Suburban News as the date draws nearer.
